If your truck, coach or machine runs on a 24V system, a 12V car booster simply won't do. The NOCO Boost MAX GB251+ is built for that job.

It sends 3000A peak to 24V lead-acid systems and copes with petrol and diesel engines up to 32 L (6, 8, 12 or 16 cylinders): class 8 trucks, coaches, motorhomes and machines for farming, building sites or mines. UltraSafe 2.0 keeps the connection spark-free and protected from reversed polarity, while a 60-second timer avoids wasting charge.

A voltmeter shows the battery's voltage, the 137 Wh battery feeds a pair of USB sockets plus a 12V outlet, and the 600-lumen torch is a real help in a dark cab or yard.

How to use it, step by step

• 1.  Make sure the engine is off and the ignition switched off.
• 2.  Fit the red clamp to the positive of the 24V system and the black one to negative or a bare earth point on the chassis.
• 3.  Turn the GB251+ on and glance at the voltmeter; under 3V you can use manual override mode.
• 4.  Start the engine, then unclip black first and red second.
• 5.  Charge the GB251+ again with the XGC4 adapter or a 12V socket; it takes about 8.5 h.
