A tractor that won't turn over in the yard, a motorhome after the winter, a truck at the depot: big 12V engines need serious current, and waiting for a tow costs time.
The NOCO Boost MAX GB250+ supplies 5250A peak to 12V lead-acid systems, for petrol and diesel engines up to 16 L with 6, 8, 12 or 16 cylinders. UltraSafe 2.0 prevents sparks and reversed-polarity damage, a timer cuts out after 60 seconds to save power, and the voltmeter shows the state of the vehicle's battery.
The 242 Wh battery also feeds a pair of 2.1A USB sockets plus a 12V outlet, and the 600-lumen torch helps at night. It recharges in 8.5 h from the XGC4 adapter or a 12V vehicle socket.
How to use it, step by step
- 1. Stop the engine and switch off the ignition.
- 2. Connect red to the positive terminal of the 12V system and black to negative or to a solid earth point on the chassis.
- 3. Switch the GB250+ on and check the voltmeter; for a battery below 2V, use manual override mode.
- 4. Start the engine and remove the clamps in reverse order, black before red.
- 5. Recharge it afterwards with the XGC4 adapter or from a 12V socket (8.5 h).
